Every Bunny, Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

Easter here in Norway is the world’s longest Easter holiday. It´s a time to go skiing in the mountain and stay all day long outdoor in the fresh air, or to relax with family and friends in a cabin just talking, reading crime novels, and playing Yahtzee. Today I am posting some photos and DIY from earlier blog posts.

And if you don’t have much time for the holiday decoration. This year maybe you can do something like the work below.  This is what I did. I use watercolor on the eggs under, and gold leaf (not real gold, but they are for decoration)

Creativity has no limits and I believe that the more creative things you do the more creative you will be. and when you allow your imagination to take flight, you enter into a world of magic.

“Creativity is contagious. Pass it on.”   (Albert Einstein)

The Peerless Transparent Watercolours

Some years ago found some white wooden eggs in the store for Easter decoration and I just had to get them. I look forward to drawing and paint and then I will give these eggs as a present. I am going to make them last for years, you know, it will last much longer than real eggs.
What I did for some inspiration was to find some books that I love about flowers,
and Googled for some pictures of pussy willows.

I like using a pencil before I paint or draw. Then I start to paint using acrylic and watercolors. After the paint is dry, I use a permanent pen to outline the flowers. Then I did the final details in different colors using my Posca pen.

I tested the watercolors from Peerless transparent Watercolours and I really like them. The Peerless Transparent Watercolours come in sheet form.  . See more on youtube

PUNK LOOKING EGGS:

I use Indian ink for this project because it is waterproof. You can paint the eggs days in advance when you have some spare time. Then you can boil them when you like and you don’t have to worry about the decorations when you are preparing the Easter breakfast.

The result is some wonderful rock and roll decorated eggs that only took 5 minutes to paint!
