I received a fantastic Wooden Box Set of 98 x 10ml Tubes as a gift when I turned 50, and I couldn’t have been happier! As an artist, having a wide range of colors available is just something  we love, and this set has exceeded my expectations. When I unpacked the beautifully crafted wooden box I was in heaven, I love the neat arrangement of the paint tubes inside.

I got a small travel box of Sennelier colors in France years ago and like it a lot.  The first thing I noticed was how easily they float on the paper. When dry, they lift off the pan/surface effortlessly, making it quicker to get the colors ready for painting, similar to the experience with tube paints.

The Sennelier watercolors are vibrant with a beautiful translucency, making them very well-suited for glazing and layering techniques. Some colors are opaque and easily cover the paper without compromising the artwork, similar to gouache. The consistency of the paint is smooth and creamy, making it easy to blend and layer. I found that the colors are vibrant and true to their appearance, which is a significant advantage for any artist.

It can be the honey which they contain that contributes to their amazingly smooth consistency. I like my colors to be vibrant, bright, and full of depth, and I want my watercolors to be intense and “electric.” Some of the colors possess the extraordinary luminosity that I seek in watercolors. They are truly lovely, juicy colors.

The smooth texture of the paint makes it easy to apply, the consistency helps me achieve a variety of techniques, from delicate washes to bold, saturated strokes.

In my experience, having so many colors has inspired me to experiment more with my art. The convenience of having so many colors in one place is fantastic, and the wooden box adds a touch of sophistication to my art supplies.

Typically you pay between $12.00 and $22.00 for one 10ml tube of Sennelier Watercolor but, the price for the box is very good for what you get, the price now on Amazon is $536.00 so  for 98 tubes, you are paying about $5.4 for each tube! Say no more!  

And this makes it a good choice for artists seeking high-quality watercolors.

These watercolors help me make my artwork vibrant and add liveliness. The colors blend perfectly, allowing for subtle gradations. The smooth, intense colors are a pleasure to paint with.
